Massachusetts State Police locate driver who crashed, overdosed on Bristol County highway with 1 year-old child in vehicle
A situation on a Bristol County highway discovered by State Troopers could have ended much worse.
According to Massachusetts State Police, Troopers of the Foxboro Barracks received several calls of an erratic vehicle traveling on Route 95 in the Town of Mansfield.
Troopers located the vehicle off the roadway in the wood line.
Troopers provided medical treatment to the operator and his 1-year-old child. Troopers administered 1 dose of Narcan to the operator.
After investigating the crash and actions that were taken prior to the crash, the operator was placed into custody.
The operator and child were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
The child was secured by the biological mother.
The identity of the driver was not released.
