Massachusetts State Police, local police respond after elderly woman killed in rollover crash on Route 140

Police are investigating a fatal collision that took place on Thursday.

According to police, a fatal single-car crash occurred on Route 140 in Wrentham, claiming the life of the elderly female driver.

The incident took place near the intersection of Route 140 and Eagle Brook Boulevard, with police responding shortly before 6:00 p.m.

The vehicle, described as a heavily damaged white car, was found on its side near the tree line after rolling over.

No other occupants were in the car at the time of the crash.

Wrentham Police closed the road between Creek and Elysium Streets, but it has since reopened.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
