Massachusetts State Police, local police, investigating shooting death of 15-year-old
Tragedy has struck in the Bay State as a Massachusetts teen has been shot and killed.
Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old male that occurred Friday at 3:23 p.m. at 131 Lynn Road in Brockton, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz.
According to family members, the 15-year-old killed in the shooting is Jason Green.
A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm.
In a GoFundMe fundraiser, family members say that Green believed that the suspect was his friend as they reflected on the type of teen he was.
“Jason was an amazing, funny, smart, uplifting, pure and genuine young man. He was a great big brother to his baby brother. A wonderful son. He loved playing sports, dancing, rapping, singing, and playing on his PlayStation with his friends and family. He was a sophomore in high school where he was a big class clown but always did his schoolwork. He was loved by anyone he encountered.”
Cruz stated that the investigation is active and ongoing.
