Massachusetts State Police, local police, investigating highway crash that left multiple people deceased

Authorities have announced that a Friday morning highway collision resulted in the deaths of multiple people.

According to police, at just before 4:00 a.m., Barre Police and Fire responded to Hubbardston Road (Route 62) in the area of Cummings Road for a serious single car motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, it was determined there were three occupants. One was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries and 2 had succumbed to their injuries as a result of the collision.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation involving the Barre Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
