Massachusetts State Police, local police, arrest 2 after fatal shooting inside restaurant
Two have been arrested after a fatal shooting at a Massachusetts restaurant Friday evening.
A call came into dispatch just before 7:30 p.m. for a man injured in a shooting inside Hibachi Sushi Supreme Buffet, 718 Crescent Street, in Brockton.
According to scanner transmissions, upon arrival, officers were told that the suspect was a dark-skinned male wearing a ski mask and that he walked into the restaurant, shot the victim and then left.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz stated that the victim, 22-year-old Joe Araujo of Brockton, was pronounced dead.
On Monday night, Cruz stated that a non-stop investigation by Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police led to 2 men under arrest tonight charged in connection with the fatal shooting.
The pair are scheduled to be arraigned in Brockton District Court Tuesday.
The names of the suspects were not released.
