Massachusetts State Police, Lakeville and Taunton personnel respond to highway crash with injuries

Multiple crews responded to a Massachusetts highway crash with injuries on Sunday.

According to the department, Lakeville Firefighters were dispatched just after 9:00 p.m. following a report from Massachusetts State Police of a vehicle off the road near Exit 16 on Rt. 140 South.

Car 1 arrived to find a pickup truck into the trees, just north of the exit on the southbound side. Engine 1, Ambulance 2, and Car 2 responded to the scene. Taunton Fire Department also responded with an engine and ambulance.

Lakeville Ambulance 2 transported an adult male to St. Luke’s Hospital, while a Brewster ambulance transported a second adult male to Morton Hospital. Fortunately, neither patient’s injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation.
