Massachusetts State Police issue over 1,200 move over/distracted driving citations, respond to over 700 crashes in Labor Day Week-Long Enforcement Campaign

The Massachusetts State Police Media Relations Team has provided some data on their Labor Day Week operations.

Citations

Move Over Law: 843

Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol: 101

Distracted Driving/Cell Phone Use: 342

Crashes on Roadways within State Police Jurisdiction

Crashes: 715

Total Injury Crashes: 79

Total Fatal Crashes: 1

With regard to Storrowing, MSP is aware of one serious crash on Sunday 31 August at 3:15 a.m. 

Troopers responded to the westbound exit ramp to Kenmore Square where a box truck struck the bridge and rolled onto its side. Thankfully, there were no resulting injuries reported, and the roadway reopened at 6:15 a.m.
