Massachusetts State Police investigating serious crash on Route 495 involving multiple vehicles

Massachusetts State Police are on scene of a highway crash that took place on Monday morning.

According to Trooper James DeAngelis, shortly after 10:45 a.m., Troopers assigned to the Middleboro Barracks responded to a serious crash involving a Tractor Trailer and a Box Truck on Route 495 South at mile marker 24.0 in Taunton.

Taunton Fire and EMS responded in addition to Troopers assigned to the commercial vehicle enforcement section, Bristol Detective Unit, Crime Scene Services, and Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation reported that two right lanes were closed but reopened at approximately 6:00 p.m.
