Massachusetts State Police investigating Route 6 crash with ejection that led to medflight

Massachusetts State Police are investigating a crash into the woods with ejection that took place early on Wednesday morning.

According to Trooper Leah O’Connell, shortly after midnight, Troopers from the Bourne Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 6 West in Sandwich.

The operator was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger was Med-Flighted to a separate hospital with serious injuries.

Troop D Detectives, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS), and the Crime Scene Services (CSSS) responded to investigate the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
