Massachusetts State Police investigating fiery rollover crash on Route 24 in Berkley that shut down highway

Crews have responded to a serious rollover crash on Sunday evening.

According to Massachusetts State Police, as of 7:20 p.m., State Troopers from the Middleboro Barracks were working a single vehicle crash on Route 24 South, prior to Exit 13, in Berkley.

The vehicle had one occupant who was conscious upon arrival of MSP personnel.

The vehicle was fully engulfed, and all southbound lanes were shut down for safety while fire personnel extinguished the flames.

All lanes are now open and all assets are clear from the scene.

The operator was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
