Massachusetts State Police investigating after three in their 20s die after fiery crash
Massachusetts State Police are investigating after three people were killed in a fiery car crash.
According to a media outlet out of Salinas, Puerto Rico, at just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, State Police responded to a report of a vehicle fully engulfed on Route 391 in Chicopee.
At the scene, responders managed to pull the driver, 24-year-old Jonathan Santiago of Springfield, out of the flames but he later died from his injuries.
23-year-old Karylee Lopez Moret of Springfield and 25-year-old Angel Gabriel Rosado Colon of Holyoke could not be rescued from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The three victims were natives of Salinas.
The right and center lanes of I-391 North were closed Sunday morning for several hours but were reopened at approximately 7:30 a.m.
