Massachusetts State Police, Fire Department respond to fiery crash that leaves three vehicles destroyed

Three cars were destroyed after a crash Friday afternoon.

According to Massachusetts State Police, just after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, State Police responded to a reported vehicle fire on the L ramp from I-93 northbound to I-90 eastbound in Boston. 

 Responding Troopers determined three vehicles were involved in the fire. 

 The L ramp, (HOV eastbound ramp), and Frontage Road ramp are currently closed.

According to the Boston Fire Department, they were able to quickly extinguish 2 of the cars, the other car was a hybrid which took longer to extinguish.

 MassDOT crews are going to evaluate any possible damage to roadway structures.

Several individuals have been treated for smoke inhalation.

The incident is under investigation.
