Crews from several agencies responded to the Braga Bridge Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. Massachusetts State Police, Fall River and Somerset personnel responded to Route 195 West for a report of a male looking down in the middle of the bridge, possibly ready to jump.

Upon arrival, crews quickly had the male in custody, and he was transported to a local hospital.

So very sad. Mental illness is real. A non visual ailment that gets missed with regular Dr appointments. Prayers that he gets the help that he obviously needs. Thank goodness for law enforcement was able to rescue him.

I think people should read the entire post before commenting. It clearly says “possibly ready to jump”. Obviously we all think if someone is on that bridge they are there to jump. I know for a fact this individual wasn’t thinking clearly. He is doing much better and is home with family. ❤️🫶🏽🙏🏽
