Massachusetts State Police, Berkley, Freetown, Boston Medflight respond to highway crash with serious injuries

Multiple people were injured in a highway crash late Monday.

According to Berkley Fire and Rescue, late Monday evening crews responded to Route 24 North at exit 16 for a 2-car accident.

The occupant of one vehicle was transported by Medflight from the scene to RIH with serious injuries. The patient in the second vehicle was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital by Freetown Fire with non-life-threatening injuries.

Route 24 North remained closed for an extended period following the accident for investigation and cleanup.

Freetown Fire, Boston Medflight and Massachusetts State Police assisted.
