Massachusetts State Police have made an arrest and are searching for 2 others after a multi-vehicle crash.

According to Tim McGuirk of Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 11:30 a.m., State Police pursued a vehicle on Route 24 South near exit 35 in Brockton that failed to stop for police. Troopers observed the vehicle traveling more than 100 MPH in moderate traffic. As the vehicle approached exit 33, Troopers terminated their pursuit.

After taking the exit, the vehicle struck another vehicle and crashed at the first intersection at North Pearl Street in Brockton. Three men exited the vehicle and fled the scene of the crash.

After a short foot pursuit, State Police apprehended one of the men, placed him into custody, and initiated a search for the other two subjects. The State Police personnel from Troops H and D, the Air Wing, K9 Unit, and Gang Unit deployed to assist with the ongoing search.

The matter remains under investigation by the State Police.

McGuirk stated that the identity of the subjects and charges will be released in a subsequent update.
