Police have issued an update on a wild scene that took place in Massachusetts late last month.

According to police, on Saturday, November 30th, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Webster Police Officers assigned to the evening shift responded to Everett Avenue for a report of a large fight in the street. Upon arrival, Officers were able to quell the disturbance, and the individuals agreed to go inside their apartment for the remainder of the evening.

10 minutes later, SWCCC Dispatchers received several 911 calls reporting another disturbance at the same address, inside an apartment on the second floor. Officers Spencer Donovan, Francheska Cedeno, Nicholas Caruso, David Brooks, Alex Johnson, and Bryan Blomgren all responded. Officers arrived and observed evidence of an altercation that took place inside. Officers learned the individuals were attending a 2-year-old’s birthday party when a fight broke out.

Several minutes later, as Officers were investigating the second disturbance, a man, identified as Jordan Campos, entered the apartment and attempted to try and fight another male inside. Officers attempted to hold Campos back, which is when he struck an Officer in his upper torso area. Officers attempted to place Campos into custody, however, he continued fighting and grabbed a hold of his right pocket. Officers had to use defensive tactics techniques, as well as a Taser deployment, to place Campos under arrest. While this was happening, more individuals entered the apartment and began interfering with the arrest of Campos. Two more Officers were assaulted during this time, and mutual-aid assistance was requested as the situation became very dangerous. After Campos was placed under arrest, he kicked Dudley Police Officer Dylan Reney in the face and spit on Officer Johnson.

During this fight, several attempts were made to get updates from the officers on scene. Mutual Aid was called and two Dudley Officers responded. Again, no response was given over the radio, at which point Dispatchers put an emergency request out over a Regional Radio Channel that broadcasts to numerous area departments, for any available Officers to respond. Departments from Douglas, Auburn, Oxford, Dudley, Southbridge, Sutton, Leicester and Worcester, and the Massachusetts State Police responded to assist.

Eventually, peace was restored, and in addition to Campos being arrested, several other individuals were charged.

Jordan Campos, 27, of Worcester, MA, was arrested on the following charges: Disorderly Conduct (Subsequent Offense), Disturbing the Peace, Resisting Arrest, three counts of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, and A&B Attempting to Disarm a Police Officer.

Marylin Lopez, 27, of Webster, was charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, and Keeper of a Disorderly Household.

Franklin Baez, 28, of Worcester, MA, was charged with Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Disturbing the Peace, and Disorderly Conduct.
