Massachusetts State Lottery releases name of New Bedford woman who won $500,000 on scratch ticket
A New Bedford woman is a little richer after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Carla Rocha Silva of New Bedford won $500,000.
Silva took home the prize on the $500,000 Cashword Corners 2023 which is a $5 scratch game.
She claimed the prize on February 5th.
The winning ticket was sold at Wessam Variety Store, 1851 Acushnet Avenue, in New Bedford and received a bonus for its sale of the ticket.
