Massachusetts State Lottery has new $1 million winner; here is how he plans to spend the winnings

Another Massachusetts resident is on the move after winning big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Roland Mondou of Woburn is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” $20 instant ticket game.

Mondou chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on purchasing a new home with the winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Jack’s Variety, 675 Main St. in Woburn. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$5,000,000 100X Cashword has one $5,000,000 and three $1 million prizes remaining.
