Massachusetts State Lottery announces winner of $1 million prize on scratch ticket just before Christmas

$1 million can come in handy right before Christmas which can make the holiday pretty special for family and friends.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Holly Jolly Trust of Quincy has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Bonanza” instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at Pleasant Street General Store, 451 Pleasant St. in South Weymouth. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
