Massachusetts State Lottery $1 million prize winner plans on using winnings to help others

Often when a Massachusetts resident hits a big State Lottery prize they understandably think of their family or buying their first home or a new car. A recent winner is thinking about one thing, other people.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, 3 Bees and Flowers Trust of Quincy has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Celtics Banner 18” instant ticket game.
The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Spillane said the winner plans on helping others with their winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Quick Stop II, 155 Lowell St. in Methuen. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
Celtics Banner 18 has one $1 million prize remaining.
