Massachusetts sees continued rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations, active cases in Sunday report

Massachusetts saw another increase in active cases and hospitalizations in Sunday’s COVID-19 report.

Massachusetts has seen 1,809 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Saturday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate increased yet again to 2.27%.

Massachusetts had seen 2,200 more positive cases announced yesterday.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total confirmed cases to 166,745 with 20 more reported dead for a total of 9,923.

The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 6,720,526 after 80,572 new molecular tests.

The 3 day average of COVID-19 deaths increased to 18.

Estimated active cases are currently 22,023.

Hospitalizations have increased in 37 of the last 55 days and increased by 33 today to see the total raise to 568.

Weekly COVID-19 Public Health Report

According to Friday’s report, Fall River has a 41.8 Average Daily Incidence Rate per 100,000 (Last 14 days) which is the fifth highest in the state. New Bedford sits at 28.4.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to November 4th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 108,129
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 101,787
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 6,342

As of November 8th, according to the CDC, the United States has seen 9,808,411 cases of COVID-19 with 236,547 reported deaths.
