Families were in for a shock this weekend as they walked through a popular path in Massachusetts.

According to police, on Saturday, at approximately 5:00 p.m., The Marshfield Police Department received a report of a man sunbathing nude near the Rexhame Beach Parking Lot.

Upon arrival, Officers located 65-year-old Richard Wuschke of Mansfield sunbathing with his shorts around his ankles and his genitals exposed. He was laying down alongside a commonly used path on the bank of the South River.

Police stated that this path is commonly frequented by families, children, dog walkers and is also used for fishing. The area was busy, and several witnesses reported being shocked and alarmed after encountering Wuschke next to the riverbank. He was subsequently placed under arrest and booked at the Marshfield Police Station.

The was not the first time the Marshfield Police have dealt with Wuschke. Marshfield Police had previously charged Wuschke with Indecent Exposure and Disorderly Conduct after a similar incident at Library Plaza in May 2022 where he was observed wearing only a tee shirt and socks in front of a local business.

After his arrest on Saturday, Wuschke was released on bail and will be arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Monday, May 8th on the charges of Open and Gross Lewdness and Disorderly Conduct.
