Massachusetts police department announces sudden passing of active duty officer
A Massachusetts police department is mourning the loss of one of their own.
The Boston Police Department mourns the recent passing of active-duty Boston Police Officer Andrew O’Connor, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
Officer O’Connor joined the Boston Police Department on June 28, 2021, and successfully completed his training at the Boston Police Academy on January 7, 2022. Serving the people of East Boston, Officer O’Connor was assigned to District A-7 at the time of his passing.
Throughout his tenure, Officer O’Connor received commendations and praise for his unwavering dedication to duty from both the community and his colleagues.
A cause of death was not released.
