Massachusetts man’s hunger leads to $1 million State Lottery win on scratch ticket; here is what he plans to do with the cash

A Massachusetts man’s hunger turned into life changing cash after a big State Lottery win recently.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Johan Lopera Bustamante of East Boston has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Big Money” $5 instant ticket game.

Lopera Bustamante chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans on purchasing a new car, home, and investing the rest of his winnings.   

He grabbed something to eat and a scratch ticket that won the big prize.

He purchased his winning ticket at Sava’s Market, 150 Bennington St. in East Boston. The business will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$1,000,000 Big Money has two $1,000,000 grand prizes remaining.
