Massachusetts man wins $800,000 in State Lottery game; picks ticket because he liked the prize he ended up winning
A Massachusetts man liked the prize on a certain State Lottery scratch ticket. That decision turned out to be very lucrative.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Pierre Durandisse of South Easton has won a $1,000 a week for life prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000 a Week for Life” $5 instant ticket game.
Durandisse chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $800,000 (before taxes). He plans on investing with the winnings.
He picked this ticket because he liked the “for life” prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Liquor World, 25 Robert Dr. in South Easton. The store will receive a $10,400 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
$1,000 a Week for Life has four grand prizes remaining.
