Massachusetts man wins $150,000 playing Keno; here is how he did it and what he plans to do with the winnings

Often when you are playing Keno you spend a few bucks hoping to win maybe 20-30 dollars. Then there is this Massachusetts man who won 6 figures.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, James Rogers of Arlington is the winner of two $75,000 Keno prizes after playing identical five dollar 8-spot wagers for a game drawn late last month. 

Rogers claimed his prize at the Massachusetts State Lottery Headquarters in Dorchester. He said he plans to save his winnings. 

He bought his winning tickets at the Knights of Columbus, 15 Winslow St. in Arlington. The organization receives a $1,500 bonus for its sale of these tickets.  

Keno players have the option of selecting from 1 to 12 numbers (spots) to play from a field of numbers from 1 to 80. Prizes and odds of winning vary based on the number of spots played. For each Keno game, a total of 20 winning numbers are randomly selected.
