Massachusetts man wins $1 million State Lottery prize on scratch ticket, plans on taking care of his mother in the most touching way

You won’t find a more heartwarming way for a big state lottery jackpot to be spent than how one Massachusetts man is using his winnings.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, George Zakhary of Bellingham is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Bonus Bucks” $10 instant ticket game.

Zakhary chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to put the winnings towards his mother’s retirement.   

The winning ticket was purchased at Hotshot, 60 South St. in Wrentham. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$4,000,000 Bonus Bucks has one $4,000,000 and two $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
