Massachusetts man who spends his days giving to community hits on $4,000,000 instant game ticket
If you believe in karma, this story may just be for you as a man who spends his days giving back to his community is now a millionaire.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Richard Bonanno has won a $4 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “4,000,000 Mayhem” $10 instant ticket game.
Bonanno, who is from of Scituate, opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes).
Bonanno founded The Rolling Wave Foundation about 8 years ago. The foundation supplies refurbished bicycles and everyday living items to those young and old who need them. He spends hours a day refurbishing the bikes and with the community’s help has donated thousands of them in Massachusetts and across the country. School supplies, food, and clothing has also been offered.
He purchased his winning ticket at Quick Pick Food Shop located at 261 Nantasket Avenue in Hull. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
