A Massachusetts man plans on making his money work for him after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket recently.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Robert Fitzgerald has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “4,000,000 Mayhem” $10 instant ticket game.
Fitzgerald, who is from Worcester, opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to invest his winnings.
He purchased his winning ticket at Shaw’s supermarket, 68 Stafford Street in Worcester. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
