Massachusetts man trained well as he tells lottery he is using winnings to buy something for his wife
It is clear that a Massachusetts man who recently hit it big on an instant game has been taught the famous adage “happy wife, happy life.”
James King won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Fabulous Fortune” instant ticket game.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, King chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans on using some of his winnings to buy his wife a new car.
King, who is from Chelmsford, noted that the winning number on his ticket was four, the same number his daughter wears on her hockey jersey in honor of Boston Bruins legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Orr.
His winning ticket was purchased at Lemon Tree Food Shops located at 220 Appleton St. in Lowell. The store received a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
