Massachusetts man to have new address after hitting $1 million prize in State Lottery game
Thanks to a tip from a convenience store worker, a Massachusetts man will soon be having a new address.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Shorn Victor has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “50X Cash” instant ticket game.
Following the advice of the store clerk, who told him that a big winner was recently purchased from dispenser #34, Victor bought two tickets from dispenser #35, one of which was his $1 million winner.
Victor, a mechanic from Pittsfield, opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to use his winnings to buy a house.
He purchased his winning ticket at Costanzo’s Package & Variety, 180 Onota St. in Pittsfield. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket
