Massachusetts man suffers life-threatening injuries after multi-vehicle highway crash

Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in serious injuries.

According to State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, a Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling eastbound on RT-190 in the Town of Somers, Connecticut. A Chrysler Voyager was westbound on RT 190 in the Town of Somers. A Chevy K10 was entering RT 190 from house number 23. The Mitsubishi Lancer began to navigate the curve as the Chevy K10 entered the west-bound lane. The Mitsubishi Lancer then collided with the Chevy K10, sending the Mitsubishi Lancer into the east-bound lane and hitting the Chrysler Voyager head on.

50-year-old Cristian Nolan of Massachusetts, the driver of the Lancer, was air lifted to Hartford Hospital with suspected life-threatening injuries. Two from Connecticut were transported to Hartford Hospital for minor injuries.

All vehicles involved were towed from the scene.

The motor vehicle collision remains under investigation.
