Massachusetts man makes wise decision after hitting $1 million on State Lottery instant game

A Massachusetts man is making a smart move after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Edward Dasilva of Lowell has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$15,000,000 Colossal Millions” scratch ticket game.

Dasilva chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to save the winnings.  

He purchased his winning ticket at Dracut Center Convenience, 1388 Bridge St. in Dracut. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
