Massachusetts man killed in Plymouth highway crash is being remembered

A Massachusetts man who died after a highway crash is being remembered.
According to Tim McGuirk of Massachusetts State Police Media Relations, shortly before midnight on Friday, State Police received reports of a wrong way driver on Route 3 south in Plymouth. A Trooper on patrol advised his Command of a two-car crash at mile marker 9.2 that appeared to be related. All southbound lanes closed in the aftermath of the crash.
MassDOT officials and State Police members assigned to the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Crime Scene Services Section responded to the scene.
The operator and sole occupant of the wrong way vehicle sustained serious injuries. Officials transported him to a Plymouth hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The decedent is identified as Adam Plaice, 36, of Brewster.
The second car was operated by a woman in her late 20s who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to a local hospital.
According to an obituary, ” Adam was extremely talented and an excellent carpenter. He was also very mechanical and could build anything. At a young age he built a high-performance gaming computer. One of Adam’s favorite hobbies was building motorcycles and cars. Adam was very helpful to his family, and he will be deeply missed.”

The matter remains under investigation by the State Police.
