Massachusetts man killed in pedestrian hit and run, was hard worker, father of 2 young children

A Massachusetts man is being remembered after he was killed in a pedestrian hit and run.

On Sunday, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Framingham Police responded to 180 Irving Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Responding officers located 39-year-old Ronan Nunes De Oliveira from Framingham suffering from serious injuries. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures. He was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, where he later died.

The vehicle which struck the man, a gray 2016 Volkswagen GTI, did not remain on scene and the operator has not been identified at this time.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, “Ronan was a very hard worker, honest, and deeply caring toward friends and family. His loss is being felt by everyone who knew and loved him, especially his two children, ages 9 and 11, who are now facing the pain of losing their parent far too soon.”

The investigation remains active and is being conducted by the Framingham Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
