Massachusetts man killed in hit-and-run crash remembered as kind and caring person, suspect still wanted

The name has been released of a Massachusetts man killed in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash.

According to Dave Procopio of Massachusetts State Police, just after 1:15 a.m., Massachusetts State Troopers responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Route 95 South, north of Exit 33, in Needham. The victim, 28-year-old Justin P. Kelley of Canton, was determined by responding Needham Fire and EMS personnel to be deceased on scene.

The vehicle involved did not remain on scene after striking the man.

A short time before the crash the State Police-Framingham Barracks received a call reporting a pedestrian walking in the breakdown lane in that area of Route 95. The Barracks immediately notified patrols and a Trooper who was responding to locate that reported pedestrian arrived on scene to find that he had already been struck.

Troopers located potential debris evidence at the scene that may have come from the vehicle that struck the man. The debris was collected for further analysis by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Lab in an attempt to identify the vehicle involved.

Those who knew Kelley stated that he was the most kind and caring person you could meet. Several were at a loss for words expressing that only the good die young and he was taken far too soon.

The crash remains under investigation by the State Police-Framingham Barracks and the State Police Troop H Detective Unit, Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and Crime Scene Services Section.

The crash scene was cleared by 4:00 a.m.
