A Massachusetts man has a simple request after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Jason Marsh of Gloucester is the first $1 million grand prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new Emerald Mine 50X $5 instant ticket game that went on sale Tuesday, January 7.

He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Marsh said he plans on fixing his car with the winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Stop & Shop, 400 Lincoln St. in Hingham. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

(2) $1 million grand prizes remain.
