Massachusetts man hits $1,000 a week for life State Lottery prize in new game

A Massachusetts man recently had a big win on a fairly new State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Reginald Gaston of Boston has won a $1,000 a week for life prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “$1,000 a Week for Life” $5 instant ticket game that went on sale on Tuesday, February 18.

Gaston chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $800,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at Fernandez Liquors VI, 1151 Blue Hill Ave in Dorchester. The store will receive a $10,040 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$1,000 a Week for Life has eight $1,000 a Week for Life prizes remaining.
