Massachusetts man hits $1 million State Lottery prize, will let winnings work for him

A Massachusetts man plans on letting his money work for him after hitting a big State Lottery prize.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Amjad Rubieh of Winthrop is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Cash King” instant ticket game.

Rubieh chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans on investing the winnings.   

He bought his winning ticket at Saratoga Market, 16 Trident St. in East Boston. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
