A Massachusetts man grabbed a big scratch ticket win doing what many Bay Staters do every morning and how he plans to spend the money will warm your heart.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Christopher Miller of Weymouth has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.
Miller opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said that he plans to use his winnings to take care of his parents.
He purchased his winning ticket at Nouria, 719 Gallivan Blvd. in Dorchester while stopping there for his morning coffee. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
