Massachusetts man held on bail on list of charges after allegedly having one last crack hit at conclusion of police chase
A Massachusetts man is facing a long list of charges after reportedly taking authorities on a long pursuit.
According to police, on Saturday, December 20, 2025, Foxborough Police Evening Shift Officers responded to a call from a concerned motorist reporting a vehicle being operated erratically through town. Officers located the vehicle and attempted a motor vehicle stop, which led to a multi-mile pursuit involving reckless operation and numerous traffic violations.
During the pursuit, officers successfully deployed tire deflation devices (stop sticks) on two separate occasions, ultimately disabling the vehicle and safely ending the incident in a residential neighborhood. After the vehicle was disabled and officers were issuing commands, the suspect was observed lighting and smoking from a glass pipe believed to contain crack cocaine before being taken into custody.
The operator, identified as Fred Mandracchia, was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
• OUI – Drugs
• Possession of a Class B Drug
• Kidnapping
• Intimidation of a Witness / Police / Court Official
• Threat to Commit a Crime
• Leaving the Scene of Property Damage (multiple counts)
• Failure to Stop for Police
• Marked Lanes Violation
• Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
• Resisting Arrest
• Defacing Property
According to court records, at arraignment, Mandracchia pled not guilty and is being held on $250,000 bond/$25,000 cash, returnable for January 22nd for a pretrial hearing.
Pending charges represent accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt under the United States Constitution.
