Massachusetts man has smart plan in place after hitting big money in multi-state lottery game
A Massachusetts man plans to be smart with his prize after winning big money playing a lottery game recently.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Tenji Kushi of Cambridge is the winner of a $25,000 a year for life prize in the multi-state Lucky for Life game after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those selected in the December 28 drawing.
Kushi claimed his prize Tuesday, December 30 at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $390,000 (before taxes). He plans to take a vacation and save the rest of his winnings.
He purchased his winning ticket at Winners Corner, 2302 Turnpike St. in North Andover.
Lucky for Life drawings are conducted seven nights a week.
