Massachusetts man has simple requests despite hitting millions on State Lottery instant game
A Massachusetts man just won millions on a State Lottery scratch ticket, however, he is keeping his purchases pretty simple.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, David Badejo Jr. of Attleboro is the first $10 million grand prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Bonanza” instant ticket game.
He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $6,500,000 (before taxes). Badejo Jr. plans on buying a new Chevy Tahoe and going out to eat to celebrate his big win.
Badejo Jr., who works as a forklift trainer, said that he was offered overtime this morning but decided not to take it, paying a visit to the winning store instead.
“I’m glad I didn’t take OT today!” said Badejo Jr, who also noted that he almost fainted in the store when he found out he won.
There are one additional $10 million grand prize and two $1 million prizes that remain to be claimed in this game.
The winning ticket was purchased at Dairy Carousel, 220 South Main St. in Attleboro. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
