Massachusetts man has several plans after hitting $1,000,000 prize on scratch ticket

Christmas came early for a Massachusetts man after winning big on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, David Skillings of Abington is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “100X” $10 instant ticket game.

Skillings chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on investing, buying a new car, and making home improvements with the winnings. 

He purchased his winning ticket at Your Convenience Store, 800 Brockton Ave. in Abington. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

“100X” has one $4,000,000 and four $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
