A Massachusetts man is all smiles with good reason after hitting millions on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, William Darden of Boston is the winner of the fourth and final $4 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” instant ticket game.

Darden chose the annuity option on his prize and received the first of 20 annual payments of $200,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on using his winnings to buy a dog and car as well as to take a trip to Europe.

He purchased his winning ticket at Winners Corner, 2302 Turnpike St. in North Andover. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The win became the largest scratch ticket winner in the history of the Jackpocket app.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this win, which marks the largest scratch ticket prize ever won using Jackpocket,” said Pete Sullivan, SVP, Lottery at DraftKings. “It’s an exciting milestone for our company and a testament to the enthusiasm our customers have shown for the scratch ticket feature, which offers another seamless way to participate in the lottery.”
