Massachusetts man has his kids in mind after winning $1 million State Lottery prize on scratch ticket
It should not come as a surprise that after a Massachusetts man hit big money on a scratch ticket he thought of his kids.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Pedro Chacon of Everett is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Winning 7” $5 instant ticket game.
He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Chacon, a truck driver and father of three, said he plans on putting his winnings towards his children’s education.
He purchased his winning ticket at Fine Mart Convenience, 180 Ferry St. in Everett. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
