Massachusetts man has friend to thank after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize on scratch ticket

Something tells me that a friend of a Massachusetts man is about to be handsomely rewarded after a big State Lottery win.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Matthew Tracy of Worcester is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Bonanza” $20 instant ticket game.

He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Tracy, who received the winning ticket as a gift from a friend, said it still doesn’t feel real that he won and that he has no plans for his winnings yet.

He purchased his winning ticket at Wachusett Farms, 106 Worcester St. in West Boylston. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$10,000,000 Bonanza has two $10,000,000 and two $1 million prizes remaining.
