
A Massachusetts man is thinking of others, and a little bit for himself, after hitting big money recently playing a State Lottery game.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Robert Cheetham of Plymouth is the winner of a $416,405 prize on a $2 bet while playing “Timber Wolf,” an online-only eInstant game available through Mass Lottery Online.
Cheetham claimed his $416,405 prize (before taxes) at the Mass Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester. He plans on putting the winnings towards retirement, his daughter’s wedding, and other family gifts.
Prizes won purchased online of $50,000 or more must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester.
To play Mass Lottery games online, players must be 21 or older and physically located in Massachusetts at the time of play and to make a deposit to their account. Players need to have a Mass Lottery Player Account, which can be created at masslottery.com or by downloading the Mass Lottery App on a mobile device or tablet.
