Massachusetts man has comfort on his mind after hitting $1 million on State Lottery instant game

A Massachusetts man is all about comfort after hitting big money recently on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Bart Trenary of Easthampton is the first $1 million grand prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “50X” $5 instant ticket game.

He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Trenary plans on buying a new van and a new sofa with his winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Smitty’s Package Store on College Highway in Southampton. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

“50X” has two $1 million grand prizes remaining.
