A Massachusetts man has decided how he plans on spending his winnings after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Antonio Furtado has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant ticket game.
Furtado, who is from Fall River, chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to use his winnings to buy a house.
His winning ticket was purchased at Friendly Donuts, 2301 Purchase St. in New Bedford. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
